The drive from NH to VT was special for me. We drove the back roads through the mountains and stopped a few times to see a covered bridge and to eat at an diner recommended to us by a local we ran into at the gas station. Our final stop was in Waterbury, VT at the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory. I’d been there 35-40 years ago and took a tour of the factory while on a bike trip through New England with some Colorado friends. This time around, Covid19 shut down the tours — but the ice cream cone was just as good as I remembered it to be!!!
The covered bridges are also something special about this area. We took time to explore one of the three bridges in Bath. It is not only beautiful from afar, up close, I found the architecture just incredible as well.
